  1. I am the one who loves to be friend of the students but I also do not like to deal with the student who do not know the limits of this friendship. I also make them feel that I am their teacher. I believe absolutely importance of fun in the class and games are very helpful for that. I am facilitator for them, I am helpful and smiling all the time. I try to understand their needs and conduct the lesson according to their needs.

  2. As Gizem said, I want to be like a friend who sets her limits well. I always want to create a positive environment in my classes because I believe that the atmosphere of the class has a serious effect on the quality of teaching&learning. I am sometimes very strict about classroom rules, etc. but I am not a dictator. I really care about students. If a student seems reluctant to participate in the lesson that day, I wonder whether there is a problem with him/her.
I prefer to use technology as much as possible to make the lesson more effective. I search for techniques which are enjoyable and also effective. I want to enjoy myself first while teaching, then students will enjoy themselves, too.

  3. As a teacher, I am very patient and friendly towards the teacher because I always give importance to the relationship between my students and me. I believe that if we get on well with each other, our lessons become much more efficient. On the other hand, I try my best to enable almost all students to understand what I want to teach, so I try to be a perfect receptive of their all questions related to the topic.

  4. First of all I am not a very permissive teacher. I try to be like friends with students but when I realized that they abuse it or when I realized that I should make my authority felt by them, I become an authoritarian teacher. Besides, I believe that a teacher should have a balance between being permissive and being authoritarian. As to my style in teaching, I don’t really support students’ being passive. I support the idea that students should be active, but also the teacher shouldn’t let students to control the activities. Moreover, I don’t think that inductive teaching is a perfect method, so I don’t think that I will use it a lot. I will set a balance between inductive and deductive teaching. As for the materials used in teaching, I strongly believe in the benefit of using various materials and so I make frequent use of them. Especially, colorful pictures and videos attract students’ attention, no matter at what age they are. So I use them a lot in my teaching practices, but I know that watching a video in every class will be too much. To sum up, I don’t like to rush into extremes in anything so I am for a balance in everything.

  6. As a teacher, I think a stress-free and friendly environment is necessary for the learning to take place, and creating such an environment is the responsibility of the teacher. The students in my lessons should feel that they will not be judged or criticized, and that they are respected as an individual. As a person, I think of myself as a humanist, and I would like to reflect this to my classes.
For language teaching, I think that students learn best by doing, in our context by using the language. The teacher should be the one who creates opportunities for the students to use the language and who encourages them to do it. I think the target language should be viewed as the communication tool in the classes. The students should be active during the lesson. Being active also involves being active mentally. They should be thinking about the subject and questioning it. In order to achieve this, I think that topics and activities that will take the students’ attention are always necessary for language classes. Learning about the students’ interests, making use of various materials and designing activities that apply to multiple intelligences in the lessons are some of the ways I am going to try in order to do this.

  7. I am a teacher who gives importance to her students’ feelings, ideas and needs and who tries to update herself according to these things to make the teaching and leaning process more effective. I want all of my students to express themselves in the class and be voluntarily involved in the activities. In that sense, I know that I should improve my communication skills. Moreover, I am not a teacher who thinks that she knows everything and she should be the central figure in the class but who values every effort to improve herself and puts the greatest emphasis on the students in this process.

  8. I think that as an English teacher, the primary role of me is to create positive atmosphere in the classroom because an interactive and effective lesson can be achieved only when the atmophere of the classroom allows it. To achieve this, I try my best. Since I am always patient and sympathetic to my students, I don't have so much difficulty in having good relationship with them. Besides, a good teacher should really have passion for her job in order to develop herself in the area. I think I am such a lucky person since I have a job that I have passion for it. This passion helps me develop myself.

  9. I am a teacher who cares about students’ needs and interests, so I plan my teaching process by taking those issues into consideration in order to make students learning more effective and motivating. And I try to focus on the student-centered learning in the classroom. Also, I use games in the class in order to have an enjoyable lesson. I think I am a smiling and helpful teacher. I respect all students and encourage good performance.

  10. Seriously, I am funny. I do fun things in the classroom and my main aim is to have people smile or enjoy themselves while learning English. I know pretty well that learning a language is frustrating and takes so much time, it is always the best for students to learn skills/ information which they will need or wonder in daiy life. Therefore I am a teacher who brings outer life into classroom by imitating it, making fun of it and mostly making the most of it by involving students and their ideas. Besides, I can define myself as a humanist one (this doesn't seem to be a humble definiton but people say so:)) I respect everyone and every choice unless it deeply violates others' choices and ideas.

  11. I want to be a teacher who can harmonize humor and discipline in an appropriate way and who can convey the knowledge to the students without boring them. A teacher should first of all respect her students because the keystone of the education is the students. No matter what the subject is, a teacher should care about the students’ needs, thoughts and feelings at first. If she cannot set good relationship wither students, no matter what she does, the lessons will be ineffective and pointless.

  12. ı can say that ı am friendly teacher. as my age is close to my students' age, ı feel very close to them and and they also feel very comfortable in my lessons. ı can show empathy easily. ı see them as an individual and ı am a good observer. ı observe each of them carefully and try to understand themselves as an individual. ı like student centered lessons. ı do whatever ı can to make them invcolved with the lesson. ı try to use different kind of activities to make the lesson attractive. ı especially try to do my lessons in an integrated way. ı like speaking and listening which are mostly ignored in schools. ı use songs, ı use magazines to teach grammar for instance. ı also make students get aware of what's going on all the world. ı have some problems with classroom management sometimes ı lose the control. ı try to be 'tatlı sert' but somnetimes ı become too flexible and students may misuse it. ı should be more careful about classroom management. ı am well qualified and have all necessary theory knowledge and ı try to use various activities that ı have learnt from the books or internet source.

  13. As a prospective teacher who completed two different intern, I want my activities to grab studens' attention so that level of participation is high. Especially young learners prefer participating in the lesson if they see his/her peers participate. Secondly, I do not suppose that I will be ignorant about unfair and unethical behaviors in the class and I try to solve any kind of problem in class before starting the course session. I believe that I will be warm-blood however authoritarian if necessary towards students. I also believe that I will be in a close touch with the newest techniques in ELT. Lastly, according to my 4 year education in FLE, I will apply inductive way of teaching in student-centered classrooms.

  14. I want to be a teacher, who is aware of the learners' needs and very good at attending to the leaners. My students should feel confident while they are talking to me. My classroom will be a place, in which learner- autonomy is encouraged. I will encourage the students to improve their critical learning skills. I will make use of the real-life situations and I believe that it is crucial for the students to improve their language skills.

  15. I am a teacher of surprises, colors and change. I love a lot to see my students waiting for "what's next?" I really want to be there with my materials that draw the students' attention easily back to the lesson. I'm holding totally an active role, but this doesnt necessarily mean that my students are passive. They are also active as my lesson plans give them a great room to show themselves. Monotonous or other collocations of old-fashioned teacher image is not about me, I try hard to be always new, always different.

  16. Learning a foreign language is not a hot issue anymore. People have understood that learning different languages from their mother tongue is important. I think the main issue npw is how to teach and help learners acquire a new language. As a future English teacher, I have learned many methods to implement. However, students’ profile is always important to be remembered. I realized that a teacher should always change to improve her techniques, methods, and approaches as much as students’ profile change.
I have been trying to adapt myself to the learning and teaching environment since I started to be involved in teaching actively.
In my opinion student is the water and the teacher is the cup in the classroom environment. The larger the cup is, the more the water is. A teacher should use as many methods as she can. I like communicative approach more because it smelss more like internalizing the language. For young learners, my best method is the TPR. I like the method because I like being moveable myself.
I am the fan of integrated skills. I have always integrated the skills-at least two during my internship. Maintaining the lesson just through the one skill is not effective. For this reason, most of the time I need to prepare my materials on my own. However, for my reading sessions I try to be more authentic. Another benefit that integrated skills contribute is that it improves the relation between teachers and students.
Based on my experiences, I can easily create friendly atmosphere in the classroom. I get on well with the students. Thanks to being friendly, I can make my students listen to me and I can draw their attention. For the distruptive behaviors, I try to stay calm and warn them softly.
I think that students should be more couraged when they are not forced to learn. I would like to make them like the language. Therefore, students can have fun while they are learning.
As a teacher, I can enjoy my teaching if my students can have fun, too.

  17. Hello again!
I am a student and a teacher at the same time. I learn a lot about being a teacher, a guide and a model from my students while teaching them a language and make them enjoy the life itself. I love to help them to discover their potential and how life would be positively different if they learn what they enjoy to learn. I am with them in every step of the way and try to fulfill all their needs and interests.
